pumped

so we're at the park swinging in the snow. i'm talking to adda about momentum and trying to teach her how to "pump" her legs in the swing to propel herself forward. later we grab some groceries and as i'm buckling hudson in his car seat, i hear the fateful "dunk". i look over my shoulder to confirm that adda has indeed propelled herself forward while in the shopping cart - right into the side of the highlander. unbelievable that a toddler and some bananas can travel maybe 2 feet on a non-existent grade and make a dent like that. she looks at me all proud and sparkly eyed and before i can even say anything, she squeals "mama, i pumped"!
