o christmas tree o christmas tree

adda got rather attached to the christmas tree and cried last month when i went to take it out of the house. so for a few days, i left it on the porch outside their bedroom where they could still see it and then i started "hiding" it all over our property. when we go for walks, they both call "o christmas tree, where are you"? adda was thrilled to find it covered in snow the other day with a bird perched on top. i'm still watering it but its starting to wither and so i'm questioning the best method for a happy disposal. keep it for a family bonfire and send sparks up to the stars or find a local farm that will let us feed it to their goats?
